There's a lot of fun things to do in New Orleans from going to bars, clubs and of course the strip clubs to strolling the famous Bourbon Street
Check out what is going on Bourbon Street RIGHT NOW!

Overhyped: in the southwest corner of the French Quarter lies what some locals sneer at as "Creole Disneyworld": a high-rent entertainment strip of upscale, chain theme bars: Fashion Cafe, House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe... You can, of course, visit all these spots and have some fun, but for some real fun- see below:
Where to meet the opposite sex... It's not hard in New Orleans. Lucy's Retired Surfers' Bar (701 Tchoupitoulas St. in the Wharehouse District; tel:504-523-8995)- California style known around town as "Juicy's"; gimmick drinks; preppy, single Uptowners or suburbanites between ages 25-35. Other suggestions: TJ Quills and Bruno's Bar (7600 &7601 Maple St. in Uptown; tel:504-866-5205); Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop (941 Bourbon St in the French Quarter; tel:504-523-0066)
Where to meet the same sex...French Quarter is home to very vibrant gay community. Check out Good Friends (740 Dauphine St in the French Quarter; tel: 504-523-9938), Rubyfruit Jungle (640 Frenchman Street in Faubourg Marigny; tel:504-947-4000), and the Bourbon Pub (801 Bourbon St in the French Quarter; tel: 504-529-2107)
Some Hip Places...Snake and Jake's Christmas Club Lounge (7612 Oak St in Uptown; tel:504-861-2802)- great jukebox!. R Club (1431 Royal St in faubourg Marigny; tel:504-948-7499)- Monday night features a shot and a haircut for 10 bucks. Saturn Bar (3067 St Claude Ave in the Ninth Ward; tel:504-949-7532)- very cool, but you will need a car or cab.
Very Late Night Fun...The Dungeon (738 Toulouse St in the French Quarter; tel:504-523-5530)- located on a side street a few steps off Bourbon St; opens at midnight; it can be a scary experience; but if you are a thrillseeker, check it out
Strip Club... yes it can be fun seeing gorgeous ladies take their clothes off. The two places to check are: The Gold Club (727 Iberville St in the French Quarter; tel:504-581-7167; open daily 3pm-4am; adm:$3.00 until ± $7 thereafter). The Maiden Voyage (225 Bourbon St in the French Quarter; tel:504-524-0010; open daily 11:30 am- 4am; adm:$5.00 (daytime); $10 (nighttime)- it is truely a world class gentleman's club. For more fun, you can go to the big daddy of nighttime entertainment at Big Daddy's Lounge (522 Bourbon St in the french Quarter; tel: 504-581-7167; open daily 3pm-4am)- this place will be quite obvious as you walk down Bourbon St- just watch for the moving legs.
Finally, if you are here during the Mardi Gras season- there are innumerable fun things to do- go the Carnival Pages. Our suggestions, checking out the parades, checking out the people in the balconies in and around Bourbon St (have a lot of beads for a great show), and just drinking!
